Hello everyone, Good Evening and welcome
to Tollywood Bioscope. Today
we present to you the review on trailer of
Okkadochadu.
Director :Suraj
Music :Hip Hop Tamizha
Cast :Vishal, Tamannaah,
Jagapathi Babu, Vadivelu
The initial reaction on the trailer was
that the movie is aptly classified under the genre Action – Romance – Comedy.
Starring Vishal and Tamannaah for the first time on the
silver screen, this movie is the one to lookout for. With Vadivelu in the movie it will be an easy guess that the movie would
be having a separate comedy track. Another note worthy artist is Jagapathi Babu, unlike his recent stint
of negative roles in Telugu Cinema; we can see him donning the role of a police
officer in the movie. The movie is an adaptation of the Tamil Movie “Kaththi
Sandai” which means Sword Fight.
You can almost segregate the trailer into
four parts. The first part is the plot of the movie; the second is everybody’s favourite,
the on screen romance of Tamannaah and Vishal. The third party is the comedy
track of Vadivelu and final one is of course of the songs of the movie.
With a report of 50 crores worth of cash
apprehended by the cops of which the where abouts are not know at the time and
some bad ass fights the 40 seconds of the trailer is all about the plot of the
movie.
Tamannaah was at her glamorous best on
the screen and her mock innocence in one of the frames was lovable. Vishal
could be seen using some funny pick lines to impress Tamannaah was real cute.
Like it was said earlier, this is the first time both the stars shared the
screen. Also in one of the frames Tamannaah is seen shooting at someone with a lot
of anguish in her eyes, so we expect more than glamour from the happy days
fame.
This movie casts Vadivelu after a yearlong
gap, him and Vishal’s was a tested pair and were successful in tickling the audience.
He adds an elaborate fun element to a rather serious action movie. However the costume
selection is not very appealing
The last 50 seconds of the trailer was
intertwined with visuals of action, comedy and romance. One of the key things
to observe is the chase sequence involving Vishal. He could be seen driving an
Endeavour, being chased by cars and bikes. One particular visual shows him
dodging a white Scorpio and the Scorpio crashes into another car. (The crash
was so real, hope no one is hurt in that stunt). And while he was driving the same
car, he is chased by a dude on a dirt bike and in the closing visuals,
Jagapathi Babu could be seen standing in front of a damaged Scorpio and
shooting at the same Endeavour and it leaps about 10 feet off the ground (Super
Physics defying).
So we suspect that Vishal’s role emulates
some kind of modern Robin Hood, wanted by the Good guys and the bad guys alike?
(Being chased by Cops and Crooks)
Some of the songs seem to have been shot
at foreign locations; you can also see a Yacht in one of the visuals. Apart
from that there were visuals of Dirt bike/Off road bike used in the movie in
some of the fights and chase sequences. There were physics defying car crashes
as well in the movie. All-in- all the entire movie appears to have a decent
production value.
So,
Is Jagapathi Babu a good cop or a corrupt
one?
Who was Tamannaah shooting at?
What are the 50 crores?
Positives:
Tried and tested Star Cast, Decent production values
Opportunities:
Music and Lyrics, Routine Story line.
